Track 7 - "ThEFX":
1:20 a.m. - The band was wrapping up a session and we were
inspired by a drum groove that Dave had previously recorded.
Chris immediately began to experiment with different organ
and bass sounds. In a flash, and I'm still not sure how it
happened (or how we managed to find a camera and take a picture
of it) we heard a
BOOM!! THWACK!! CUBBA-CUBBA KISH!!
Fearing the worst we immediately ran to Chris's aid. Well,
he was all right and we all laughed…and laughed…and
laughed…wait a minute…just one more…and
laughed.
Anyway, the track was a lot of fun and probably one of the
most memorable tracks to record.

It is well documented that the members
of Engine #9 are socially conscience and work tirelessly
for many causes. Eric, in particular has done many public
service announcements and although court ordered, we're
positive he would have done them anyway. |
